Job Description
About the Role
We are looking to fill a contract role for an experienced Business Analyst with a background in identity and authentication programs to join a large, complex enterprise organization. You will be embedded in a team building a next-generation, centralized authentication platform, responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, mapping current-state identity journeys, and translating business needs into clear specifications for engineering and architecture teams. This role is well-suited for someone accustomed to the governance and change management demands of a large global organization, and who is comfortable sitting at the intersection of business stakeholders, security, and technology. Experience in banking/financial services or other highly regulated industries is a big plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements for authentication and identity workflows including login, multi-factor authentication, account recovery, and credential consolidation
• Analyze and map current-state identity journeys, documenting pain points, embedded business logic, and integration dependencies
• Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications consumable by engineering and architecture teams
• Partner with identity architects, UI developers, and security engineers to validate that solutions meet business and compliance requirements
• Support the design and documentation of the identity Abstraction Layer, ensuring application team requirements are captured and reflected in the vendor-agnostic integration model
• Facilitate working sessions and workshops with business and technology stakeholders to surface requirements and drive alignment
• Maintain a requirements traceability matrix and ensure requirements are tracked through delivery
• Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies across workstreams and escalate appropriately
• Produce clear, well-organized documentation including BRDs, user stories, process maps, and meeting summaries
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on technology programs
• Experience supporting identity, authentication, or access management initiatives -- including familiarity with concepts such as SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, or federation
• Demonstrated ability to gather and document requirements in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Proficiency in producing business requirements documents, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
• Strong facilitation and communication skills -- able to work across business, security, and engineering audiences
• Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments; exposure to regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government) is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience on programs involving identity platform modernization, migration, or consolidation
• Familiarity with identity vendors such as Ping Identity, Transmit Security, Okta, ForgeRock, or similar
• Exposure to credential consolidation or single sign-on programs spanning multiple products or business lines
• Experience supporting mobile authentication or SDK integration programs
• Prior work in financial services, online banking, or other high-stakes consumer-facing digital products is a plus
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent BA certification is a plus
Contractor Requirements
• Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship
• Must be able to pass a background check
