REPORTS TO: Store Manager

FLSA STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt

WORK LOCATION: International Headquarters, Jackson, MS

DATE: July 7, 2026

OBJECTIVE: To coordinate all responsibilities related to the fulfillment of new member packets and to assist in the efficient, courteous and effective operation of the Phi Theta Kappa Store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the membership packet fulfillment process to include, but not limited to, processing the membership packets for bulk mail shipment via the United States Postal Service guidelines using AccuZip Pre-sort software and delivery of the membership packets to the USPS Downtown Jackson, Mississippi, location.
  • Manage all elements of the inventory process related to membership packet fulfillment from reordering supplies to reconciliation with Financial Services.
  • Oversee address validation process in organizational member management system for membership packets and store orders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through phone calls, email correspondence, walk-in assistance, and the organizational ticketing system, including but not limited to membership packet inquiries, order status updates, product inquiries, and general customer support requests.
  • Assist with processing store orders by printing customer orders, checking orders, locating and extracting merchandise from shelves and storage areas, packing/assembling orders and labeling packages.
  • Assist with arranging inventory deliveries of merchandise or supplies into their designated storage areas. Inspect inventory for damage, flaws, and irregularities.
  • Assist with inventory receiving and reconciliation as well as maintenance of accurate inventory levels on the shelf and backstock.
  • Assist with quarterly reconciliation process.
  • Support implementation of the strategic plan.
Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree and two years of related customer service experience.
  • Demonstrate professional verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Exhibit excellent time management, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to assume responsibility for duties with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze data to identify issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly while actively listening to others.
  • Value and promote diversity through equitable practices and an inclusive work environment.
  • Be physically able to perform packaging tasks and lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Two years of related inventory control experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This work environment is an office-like setting with moderate noise.

  • Physical Exertion: The incumbent may frequently be required to lift approximately 30 pounds and/or occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Vision: The incumbent must possess close, midrange, distance and peripheral vision; as well as the ability to identify colors, judge distances and adjust focus.
  • Speaking/Hearing: The incumbent must be able to give and receive information through speaking and listening.
  • Motor Coordination: The incumbent in this position is frequently required to: use their hands and reach with their hands and arms. The incumbent is occasionally required to: stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.
