Select Sires, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as our Vice President, Business Development & Genetic Integration. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this executive-level position will drive business growth and global customer success by integrating genetic programs, strategic partnerships, sales support, and market-focused innovation.
This role serves as a key connection point between Genetic Development, Sales, Marketing, and customers worldwide, helping ensure that Select Sires continues to deliver industry-leading genetic solutions and exceptional value to dairy and beef producers across the globe.
What You'll Do
As Vice President, Business Development & Genetic Integration, you will:
- Lead the development and expansion of strategic business-to-business partnerships, enterprise accounts, and commercial growth opportunities.
- Provide leadership and oversight for embedded genetic programs, global genetic production and delivery initiatives, and embryo programs.
- Partner with sales leadership to maximize the effectiveness of genetic advisors and technical resources across global sales channels.
- Direct the creation and delivery of customer-focused genetic education, training programs, and technical resources.
- Coordinate genetic subject matter experts, educational initiatives, and customer engagement programs.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between Genetic Development, Sales, Marketing, and other key business functions.
- Identify and execute opportunities that integrate genetic innovation with business development strategies.
- Represent Select Sires with key customers, distributors, industry organizations, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term growth strategies, customer solutions, and market-driven genetic offerings.
- Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive developments to ensure continued market leadership.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Genetics, Agricultural Business, Animal Breeding, Dairy Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in genetics, business development, sales leadership, or related agricultural industries.
- Proven success developing and implementing customer-facing genetic programs and technical solutions.
- Experience working with key accounts, strategic partnerships, and business-to-business customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving genetics, sales, marketing, product development, and operations.
- Experience supporting global sales organizations and developing educational and technical training resources.
- Strong track record of translating scientific and genetic innovation into commercially successful products, services, and customer solutions.
- Dairy genetics, livestock genetics, reproductive technologies, animal health, or agricultural services experience.
- International business experience and exposure to global markets and distribution networks.
- Experience leading large-scale strategic growth initiatives.

Work Environment & Travel
- Preferred office location is Select Sires headquarters in Plain City, Ohio.
- Regular presence at the Plain City facility is expected.
- Extensive domestic and international travel is required.
- Work will occur in a variety of settings, including corporate offices, customer operations, production facilities, industry events, and conferences.
- Travel may account for up to 60% of working time.
- Flexibility to support customers and business operations across multiple time zones is required.
