Hyman’s Auto Supply Co. is a family-owned business celebrating 99 years in business. Our company includes three businesses spanning retail, distribution, and manufacturing. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounting and Office Support Specialist to join our corporate office.
This position reports directly to the Office Manager and supports daily accounting and administrative operations.
- Manage accounts receivable for two businesses using separate accounting systems.
- Prepare deposits, handle payments, and balance accounts.
- Receive purchase orders into the appropriate system.
- Match vendor invoices to statements to support accounts payable.
- Assist the Office Manager and back-office team with other administrative and accounting tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of hands-on accounts receivable experience, including posting payments, reviewing customer balances, and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Experience preparing deposits, handling cash and checks, and balancing accounts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with payments, invoices, and accounting records.
- Ability to work across two businesses using separate accounting systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, and filtering.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize daily responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills when working with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior QuickBooks experience, including entering transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Previous A/P experience
- Previous accounting or office experience in a distribution, wholesale, or automotive business.
- Accounting or bookkeeping coursework
