Role Description
We’re looking for an individual with experience in customs brokerage, CBP, or a related field and a working knowledge of CBP regulations to join our team. As a Compliance Specialist with 721, you'll work with the compliance team to ensure our customers’ import/export activities comply with CBP/PGA regulations. You'll review documentation, advise on regulations, and manage compliance processes. Your role is critical in maintaining compliance, fostering client trust, and facilitating smooth cross-border operations.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure compliance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and procedures.
· Conduct thorough reviews of import/export documentation to ensure accuracy and
· adherence to CBP requirements.
· Advise clients on CBP regulations, tariff classifications, valuation, and other related compliances
matters.
· Handle PSC/Protest filings and manage CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)
· program.
· Conduct AD/CVD (An-dumping/Countervailing Duty) reviews and perform classification
· according to the HTSUS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States).
· Assist with the development and implementation of compliance procedures and protocols.
· Handle inquiries and communications with CBP officials on behalf of clients.
· Conduct internal audits to identify and address compliance issues.
· Stay informed about changes in CBP regulations and industry’s best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
· 3- 5 years of experience Customs Brokerage or Import/Export Compliance.
· Understanding of CBP regulations, including but not limited to HTS classification, valuation, and recordkeeping requirements.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
· The ability to travel reliably on a regular basis to Old City Philadelphia.
