The Opportunity
Institutes of Health is seeking a full time Somatic Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in Anaheim. The ideal candidate brings education, certification, or professional experience in somatic therapy, somatic movement, trauma informed movement, mind body practices, or a related discipline. Working within the boundaries of your training and professional scope, you will support patients with chronic pain, trauma related symptoms, traumatic brain injury, post concussive conditions, and functional limitations.

Our programs recognize that physical health, emotional well being, and daily functioning are closely connected. Clinicians across physical rehabilitation, psychology, behavioral health, medicine, and other specialties work together to help patients improve function, independence, confidence, and quality of life.

What You’ll Do
-Provide individual and group based somatic, movement, or body awareness services consistent with your education, credentials, and permitted scope.
-Guide appropriate grounding, breathwork, relaxation, body awareness, and nervous system regulation practices.
-Help patients develop greater confidence with movement and improve participation in meaningful daily activities.
-Adapt activities to each patient's physical abilities, emotional needs, treatment goals, and clinical precautions.
-Support patients experiencing chronic pain, trauma related symptoms, post concussive conditions, traumatic brain injury, or functional limitations.
-Collaborate with physical therapists, psychologists, physicians, and other rehabilitation professionals.
-Contribute observations and recommendations to individualized, coordinated treatment planning.
-Provide clear patient education and encouragement throughout the rehabilitation process.
-Complete timely and accurate documentation appropriate to the services provided.
-Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and program development activities.

What You Bring to the Table:
-Relevant education, training, and demonstrated experience in somatic therapy, somatic movement, trauma informed movement, body based interventions, or a closely related discipline.
-Any license, certification, registration, or supervision required to provide the proposed services in California.
-Clear understanding of professional boundaries and commitment to practicing only within authorized scope.
-Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and documentation skills.
-Ability to work onsite at the Anaheim clinic on a full time schedule.
-Certifications: CPR certification is preferred.

-Empathy & Adaptability: You approach patient care with compassion, patience, and the ability to adapt to diverse needs and challenges.
-Preferred Experience: Background in workers’ compensation, bilingual proficiency in Spanish, and/or expertise in vestibular, post-concussive, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation is highly valued.
