Clearwave is committed to superior client onboarding and ongoing client success with an unsurpassed client-partner relationship.

Who You Are

The Senior Implementation Engineer owns Clearwave's largest and most complex client implementations from contract signature through transition to Support. You pair deep technical skill with a genuine service mindset: you can lead a discovery session with a practice administrator in the morning and debug a data mapping in the afternoon. You set the technical standard for the team, mentor newer engineers and help shape how Clearwave implements at scale.

What You'll Do

Lead complex implementations

• Own end-to-end delivery of large and enterprise implementations, often multi-site or multi-specialty, from contract signature through go-live and transition to Support

• Plan scope, timeline and resources, and actively manage risks, dependencies and escalations

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client project teams and their IT staff

Discover and design the solution

• Lead discovery sessions to document each client's current scheduling, registration and eligibility verification workflows

• Map current-state processes to the Clearwave platform and design the future-state solution

• Define, document and secure client sign-off on business and technical requirements

• Make sound build decisions and push back constructively when a request would create long-term risk for the client

Build, integrate and troubleshoot

• Build and review complex configurations, SQL, data mappings and integration logic

• Partner with client IT teams and PM System and EHR vendors on interfaces and data exchange

• Own the testing strategy for your projects, including test plans, UAT and data validation, and lead go-live readiness

• Act as the escalation point for difficult technical issues during implementation and hypercare

Partner with clients

• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders at every level, from front-desk leads to IT directors to executives

• Communicate status, risks and trade-offs clearly to clients, Clearwave leadership and Customer Success

• Own client satisfaction through implementation and hand off a stable, well-documented client to Support and Customer Success

Raise the bar for the team

• Mentor and train Implementation Engineers through configuration reviews, pairing and onboarding

• Lead team initiatives and drive improvements to our implementation methodology, tooling, templates and playbooks

• Bring field insight to Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap and reduce future implementation effort

• Maintain project deliverables and documentation that can be reused as intellectual capital

• Contribute to company initiatives

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years in a technical implementation, solutions engineering or integration role delivering enterprise software

• Advanced SQL skills plus strong working knowledge of XML, JSON and HTML

• Hands-on experience with APIs and data integrations

• Established proficiency with Git or another source control tool

• A track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder implementations for large customers to an on-time go-live

• Ability to turn ambiguous business workflows into clear requirements and a working technical design

• Exceptional communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives

• Experience mentoring, training or coaching teammates

• Strong ownership, sound judgment and composure under pressure

Preferred

• Healthcare technology experience, especially with PM Systems, EHRs or patient access workflows such as scheduling, registration and eligibility

• Experience with HL7, FHIR or X12 270/271 eligibility transactions

• Working knowledge of HIPAA and secure handling of protected health information

• Scripting experience in Python, JavaScript or a similar language

• Project management training or certification such as PMP or Scrum

• PCT, MT, CST time zones preferred

What We Offer

• Competitive salary

• Flexible Time Off, including 8 holidays

• Paid Parental Leave

• 401(k) plan with matching employer contribution

• Discretionary annual bonuses and merit raises

• Hybrid work schedule

• Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance
