Class A CDL Driver in Townville, South Carolina at Yoders Components LLC

PURPOSE:

The primary responsibility of this position is the delivery of all materials in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLIITIES:

1. Trucks

• Complying with all DOT and Company requirements for drivers.
• Maintain safe and clean environment inside and out of truck.
• Reporting any accidents/incidents immediately.

2. Deliveries:

• Load truck according to delivery ticket.
• Coordinate with customers at job sites to make sure deliveries are exactly where customers would like them.
• Take pictures of materials at job sites to show location and accuracy.
• Ensuring all materials are loaded properly to ensure safe delivery.
• Maintaining daily fuel logs or the IFTA requirements as instructed.
• Handling all customers with promptness and friendliness.
• While each location has standard operating hours of being open for business, employees may be required to work before or after those standard operating hours, depending on customer or business needs.
• As some deliveries contain wide loads (especially truss deliveries), drivers must be able to maneuver safely and within the law (using required lights, flags, escorts, etc. as needed).

3. Safety:

• Complying with Company safety policy.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area (truck and trailer).
• Reporting all safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class A CDL License
• Heavy lifting up to 100 pounds will be required on an occasional basis.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years old
• Ability to safely navigate residential and commercial job sites
• Prefer at least 2 years experience
• Prefer experience with wide loads
• Clean driving record

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The work is primarily outside work in all types of weather.
