Job Description
The QC Supervisor is responsible for leading, maintaining and executing the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure our products consistently meet customer requirements, industry standards and company quality objectives. This role serves as a key partner to the manufacturing teams in driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing quality control programs, and ensuring compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, and internal quality standards. This role also provides direct leadership to Quality Control personnel, oversees testing and inspection activities, manages corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), leads internal and external audits, and supports the development of operational procedures, work instructions, and plant performance indicators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Functions as an EHS Champion for his team and the facility by partnering with the operations teams in driving the EHS initiatives in the facility.
- Develops, implement and executes a comprehensive Quality Management Plan for the facility.
- Develops and updates and executes the Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures as required.
- Selects new talent, coaches, mentors and leads the performance management process for the maintenance team.
- Responsible for executing and conducting all the tests recommended at the ASTM/AASHTO and our internal Quality Management Plan.
- Responsible for managing the assets assigned to the QC department.
- Manages all the documentation related to the QC programs including the quality logs and reports.
- Functions a leader for the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system for the facility.
- Manages the customers feedback program and escalate the issues risen from our customers in accordance with our internal processes and protocols.
- Manages the non-conformance reports and escalate issues to the management team as necessary and in accordance with our internal processes and protocol.
- Must be on-site working primarily in the production areas directly overseeing the QC Technicians and performing routine inspections during production operations.
- Leads all internal and external quality audits for the facility.
- Assess production process issues and recommends improvements.
- Completes yard inspections to make sure product is properly marked, stored and not in need of further repair due to handling before shipping.
- Maintains documentation verifying production and testing equipment has been properly and accurately calibrated in accordance with local standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the Company.
- Designs and implements the procedures and works instructions related to the plant operations
- Partners with the manufacturing team to implement, monitor and improve the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the plant as QEE, raw materials and finished good waste/scrap.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive training plan for quality team.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in leading internal and external quality control audits.
- Strong skills in metrology
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience in creating standard operating procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
EDUCATION
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a quality role in an HDPE environment.
- Experience in using and applying maintenance tools, including root cause failure analysis.
- Three years of prior experience in a leadership role
- Experience in a certified environment ( ISO, API, AASHTO, automotive, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, team members, customers, and the public.
