Location: This role is primarily remote. However, candidates located within 40 miles of our offices in Bowie, MD; Canonsburg, PA; or Tampa, FL will follow a hybrid schedule, working on-site every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Overview:
Senior Product Manager is responsible for managing key partner and platform integration products within the business unit product portfolio. This role is responsible for managing inputs from external and internal stakeholders, product planning, managing platform dependencies, leading cross functional teams for release and go-to-market plans and activities, enhancing and differentiating product within our core markets to best position the products within our markets and the competitive landscape. Interfaces with engineering, operations and sales to develop new products and enhance existing products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop business cases and product strategies to justify investments in new products, enhancements, partnerships, or acquisitions.
- Serve as the trusted product leader for your portfolio, acting as the voice of the customer and market while maintaining a deep understanding of healthcare data assets, including claims and EHR data, and their application across customer use cases.
- Build and maintain product roadmaps, leveraging customer feedback, market intelligence, product analytics, and business objectives to drive data-informed prioritization and product decisions.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering, Platform Product Managers, Customer Success, and Commercial teams to communicate a clear product vision, develop detailed Epics and requirements, and ensure successful delivery through Agile product management practices.
- Develop and coordinate complex product initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders, balancing the growth and optimization of existing products with the development of new capabilities that drive customer value and business growth.
- Work with Marketing and Sales to define go-to-market strategies, product positioning, pricing, and commercialization plans that support successful product launches and market adoption.
- Translate product strategy into actionable requirements, prototypes, and user stories, partnering with architects, developers, and customers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Build strong relationships with channel partners, data providers, and customers to understand market needs, validate product opportunities, and support long-term portfolio growth.
- Serve as a product evangelist internally and externally, ensuring product vision, roadmap, value proposition, and best practices are clearly understood by stakeholders and customers.
- Define, monitor, and manage product performance metrics and KPIs to measure market success and inform future product investments and enhancements.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Arts/Sciences (B.A./B.S.) in relevant field required
Experience:
- 5+ years of Software Product Management experience managing platform, healthcare data, or integration products required.
- 5+ years of healthcare information technology experience with a focus on healthcare data, interoperability, partner integrations, or data-driven products required.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data assets, including closed claims, open claims, and EHR data, with the ability to identify the appropriate data sources and applications for specific customer and business use cases.
- Experience working closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to define product vision, develop requirements, and drive successful product execution.
- Experience working with life sciences organizations, healthcare data aggregators, channel partners, or data acquisition partners preferred.
- Experience managing external partnerships and channel relationships, with an understanding of healthcare data aggregation and distribution models preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Agile development methodologies required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong product management fundamentals, including roadmap development, prioritization, Epic creation, requirements definition, and Agile product delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and communicate a clear product vision while partnering closely with Product Owners and Platform Product Managers to ensure alignment and execution.
- Strong Epic writing, product kickoff, and cross-functional leadership capabilities, with experience coordinating work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to perform strategically and execute operationally.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams from product concept through launch and customer adoption.
- Proven track record of creating and launching new products while supporting the growth and optimization of existing product portfolios.
- SaaS or cloud software experience.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Pragmatic Marketing or Certified in Pragmatic Marketing preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- This is a primarily sedentary role. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear for extended periods of time, and also required to repetitively use manual labor to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
