Production Worker

Salary: $19/hour

Shift: We have both M-Th 6a - 4:30p and 4p - 2:30a

Job Type: Full Time

Production Worker Responsibilities:

The packaging operator works to prevent downtime for Baler Operators by:

• Ensuring the baler station has a full supply of bags
• Removing completed bales that do not meet QA/QC standards
• Filling in for Baler Operators during breaks.
• Assist Baler Operators with minor maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Bagging Operation:

• Responsible for operating a variety of machinery, primarily bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts
• Putting covers on completed pallets and stretch-wrapping finished goods.
• Perform QA/QC by comparing completed pallets of product against weight, height, and visual guides, reporting issues to shift lead.
• Must operate machinery in a safe and productive manner using the established guidelines and procedures.
• Responsible for assisting other production areas, as needed.
• Move and wrap completed products.
• Will be lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a minimum of 9 hours per day
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Production Worker Qualifications/Education:

• Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Will require good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Will need to pass the company forklift training.
• Required to read and interpret scales.
• Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust the weight and timing of baler and various other simple maintenance problems.
• Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
