Position Overview
Eurasia Group is seeking a Manager of Events Communications and Audience Strategy — a mid-level role ideally suited for a marketing professional who thrives in both hands-on execution and strategic planning. This individual will actively contribute to the marketing and audience engagement across the firm's global events portfolio, balancing day-to-day campaign work with longer-term strategy development. The role covers the full marketing lifecycle of Eurasia Group convenings, from flagship summits to private roundtables, with a consistent focus on audience growth, brand positioning, and client engagement.
Working closely with senior leadership, commercial teams, Communications, and GZERO Media, this role will help define and operationalize strategies that elevate the firm's convening platform, expand its reach among priority stakeholders, and deliver measurable value to clients.
A core component of this role is day-to-day collaboration with sponsoring clients and partners. The Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for event sponsors, working closely with them to understand their goals, co-develop marketing and audience strategies, and keep them informed and confident throughout the event lifecycle. This person should be comfortable navigating client relationships independently, translating sponsor objectives into actionable plans, and proactively surfacing recommendations grounded in data and experience.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Execution
Contribute to and execute the overarching marketing strategy for Eurasia Group's global events portfolio, ensuring alignment with firm-wide commercial and engagement prioritiesManage day-to-day marketing activities for multiple events simultaneously, including campaign setup, audience outreach, and performance trackingDevelop integrated campaign strategies across digital, email, partnerships, and media channels to maximize reach and impactSupport and collaborate with Events Managers and Associates across marketing, audience outreach, engagement, and analytics functionsPartner with internal stakeholders, including commercial, research, and GZERO Media, to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignmentSponsoring Client Collaboration and Advisory
This section reflects a substantial portion of the Manager's day-to-day responsibilities. The Manager will spend significant time working directly with event sponsors, acting as their primary marketing partner throughout each engagement.Serve as the primary marketing and audience strategy contact for sponsoring clients, managing the relationship from kick-off through post-event reportingConduct regular check-ins and working sessions with sponsors to align on goals, review progress, address feedback, and adjust strategy as neededTranslate sponsor objectives into clear, tailored event marketing strategies, including target audience profiles, messaging frameworks, and distribution plansPresent campaign strategies, audience insights, and performance updates to sponsor contacts, with clarity and credibility appropriate to each stakeholder levelDevelop sponsor-facing materials including briefing documents, strategy decks, and post-event reportsProactively flag risks, surface recommendations, and maintain a high standard of responsiveness and communication throughout the client engagementCollaborate with internal commercial and client service teams to ensure sponsor expectations are well-managed and deliverables are met on timeAudience Strategy and Development
Support the development and execution of targeted audience growth strategies, with a focus on senior public sector leaders, multilateral institutions, and C-suite executivesWork across teams to identify priority audiences and build pathways to expand Eurasia Group's network of high-level participantsManage and execute audience outreach campaigns, including drafting invitations, managing contact lists, and tracking engagementDesign and execute marketing partnerships to extend reach into key geographies, sectors, and policymaking communitiesHelp ensure a highly curated and senior attendee mix aligned with the strategic objectives of each conveningCommunications and Campaign Execution
Write and manage event marketing content, including website copy, email campaigns, and attendee communications, ensuring consistency with Eurasia Group's voice·Execute integrated marketing campaigns across in-person and virtual formats, taking ownership of timelines, deliverables, and qualityEnsure event websites are effectively deployed and maintained using Eurasia Group's event marketing platformCollaborate with Communications to align messaging across earned, owned, and partner channelsBranding and Creative Direction
Support event branding and creative direction, ensuring consistency across onsite, digital, and promotional assetsCoordinate with design teams to develop high-quality event materials, including slides, printed collateral, and digital assetsDraft and refine marketing materials such as pitch decks and sponsor-facing content, with input from senior colleagues as neededPress and Media Strategy
Support the Communications team in defining and executing media strategies for Eurasia Group's events, including managing outreach to media partnersCollaborate with event sponsors and partners to align on press engagement and visibility opportunitiesData, Analytics and Performance Optimization
Collect, organize, and analyze event performance data, including registration trends, attendance, and audience engagementTranslate insights into actionable recommendations for both internal teams and clients, refining audience targeting and campaign performanceProduce post-event reports and presentations for sponsors and internal stakeholders, clearly communicating outcomes against agreed success metricsSupport the management and growth of Eurasia Group's attendee database, maintaining high-quality data on senior stakeholdersQualifications
4–7 years of experience in event marketing, audience development, client advisory, or strategic communications, ideally within a global, policy, or advisory environmentDemonstrated experience managing client or sponsor relationships directly, including day-to-day communication, progress updates, and delivering client-facing materialsComfortable operating in both strategic and operational modes — able to develop a marketing plan and then roll up your sleeves to execute itStrong written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting presentations, reports, and marketing content for diverse audiencesAnalytical mindset with experience using data to track performance, identify trends, and make recommendationsStrong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple events and workstreams simultaneouslyExperience collaborating across teams including commercial, communications, and designExperience managing complex, high-profile events or conveningsBachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plusKey Performance Indicators
