Job Description
HOURS: Eight hour shift M-F within 6:00 am to 6:00 pm MST operating hours. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to automate product testing to allow test cases to be run quickly and repeatedly thereby creating efficiencies, enabling greater test coverage and reducing the risk of software defects.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Automated Test Engineer authors and maintains automation code that supports the ongoing growth of automated testing within Edupoint.
JOB DUTIES:
- Work within existing framework to author and maintain automation code
- Work with team members to develop and maintain testing data
- Maintain and update test environments across multiple product version to support continuous regression testing
- Provide assistance to other members of the quality assurance team
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS-KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
*Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft family of client and server operating systems
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office family of products
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
*Skills:
- Professional attitude
- Familiar with basic C# and/or development experience
- Familiar with T-SQL
*Abilities:
- Ability to use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to work and communicate well with other teams and product groups
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 1 + years of experience with automated UI testing
- 1 + years of experience in C#
- 1 + years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL
- Experience using Selenium and NUnit is a plus

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also, stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies, occasionally lifting files, objects or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, copier and other office equipment as necessary. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone and video conferencing contacts. Visual acuity necessary to work extended hours on computer screens. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and which can be fast paced and project intensive. Travel in the performance of duties may be required.
