As our Residential Service Division continues to grow, we're looking for an organized, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Residential Service Estimator/Project Manager.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, solving problems, managing projects, and collaborating with talented electricians to deliver outstanding results. You'll be the bridge between our customers and our field teams, ensuring projects are completed smoothly, professionally, and with a level of service that keeps customers coming back.

Position Summary
The Residential Service Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for developing customer relationships, preparing estimates, coordinating projects, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. You'll work closely with homeowners, contractors, electricians, and office staff to keep projects moving forward while maintaining quality, efficiency, and profitability.

What You'll Do

Customer Relationships & Sales

• Meet with homeowners and customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for residential electrical projects
• Build trust through responsive communication and exceptional service
• Maintain relationships with existing customers while helping generate new opportunities
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource throughout the project process

Project Management & Coordination

• Manage projects from estimate through completion
• Coordinate schedules, materials, permits, and project logistics
• Work closely with field electricians to ensure projects stay on track
• Monitor budgets, change orders, timelines, and customer expectations
• Communicate project updates clearly with customers and internal teams

Team Collaboration

• Partner with electricians, supervisors, and office staff to deliver successful projects
• Help ensure crews have the information and resources needed to perform their work efficiently
• Foster positive working relationships across departments
• Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and customer service

Operational Excellence

• Maintain accurate project documentation and records
• Track project costs, profitability, and customer satisfaction
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and create a better customer experience
• Help ensure projects meet company standards for quality, safety, and performance

What We're Looking For

Experience in residential electrical service, estimating, project management, or a related construction field
Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and code requirements
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and project management tools
A positive, solutions-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to help customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license
• Residential estimating experience
• Previous project management or service coordination experience
• Knowledge of the Kansas City residential market
