Project Manager, Laboratory Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager, Laboratory Operations based in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of laboratory operations, cross-functional coordination, and strategic project delivery within a highly regulated healthcare environment. You will lead and coordinate complex, multi-site initiatives that directly support clinical and laboratory performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with operational priorities. Working closely with scientific, operational, and business stakeholders, you will help translate organizational goals into structured execution plans. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills to manage competing priorities across teams and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, consistency, and quality improvements across laboratory operations. Accountabilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multi-site laboratory operations projects from initiation through completion.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with operational and clinical priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across laboratory, clinical, and business units to ensure effective collaboration and execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver clear status reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and engagement throughout projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory workflows, efficiency, and service quality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in clinical laboratory, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strategic oversight and execution responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • PMP or CBAP certification is a plus but not required.
