Job Description

Position Description: Non-Exempt | Project Services Division | 1-10 Years Experience

What You'll Do

Design & Development Create detailed engineering drawings from 3D Tekla models and traditional 2D AutoCAD methods. Work directly with civil/structural engineers to produce project deliverables for industrial and petrochemical clients.

Project Coordination Analyze survey data, maps, and aerial photography for project planning. Review vendor documents and fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Field Support Conduct periodic field visits to project sites to verify existing conditions and support project requirements across multiple disciplines.

What You Bring

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Education: A.A.S. in engineering or related discipline (relevant work experience may substitute)
  • Experience: 1-10 years preferred in civil/structural design
  • Technical Skills: Structural steel, civil, concrete, and earthwork design familiarity
  • Software: AutoCAD, Tekla Structures 3D modeling, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Microsoft 365
  • Certifications: AutoCAD Level 1 Certificate preferred, valid driver's license, ability to obtain TWIC card

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with laser scan and point cloud data
  • Travel availability for short duration assignments
  • Knowledge of project management and reporting tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
  • Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls.
  • Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing.
  • Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration.
  • Ability to concentrate and maintain attention for extended periods while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
  • Able to travel to job sites (local and/or remote) as project needs require.
  • Able to work in heavy industrial environments while wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, fire-retardant clothing, gloves, etc.).
  • Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces.
  • Able to walk on uneven terrain and surfaces.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments during site visits.
