Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Gaming Manager, the Gaming Attendant delivers exceptional guest service while performing a wide range of operational duties across bingo, cage, and gaming floor environments. This role is responsible for cash handling, jackpot processing, bingo session support, and accurate completion of documentation, all while contributing to a safe, welcoming, and team‑oriented workplace. The Gaming Attendant ensures every guest enjoys a positive, engaging, and memorable gaming experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Guest Service Delivery — Welcome, inform, and serve guests promptly, professionally, and positively throughout all gaming areas.
- Float & Asset Management — Verify, confirm, and assume responsibility for assigned floats, inventory, and assets.
- Bingo Session Preparation — Reconcile bingo paper inventory, assemble and issue floats, assign cards, and complete all pre‑session setup duties.
- Equipment Operation — Operate key equipment, terminals, and computerized systems efficiently and accurately.
- Payout Accuracy — Calculate and enter game payouts into operating systems with precision.
- Cage Security & Control — Secure and manage all areas of the bingo cage, including guest service stations, inventory, and assets.
- Jackpot Processing — Process bingo jackpot payments and complete all supporting documentation in compliance with internal controls.
- Guest Support & Compliance — Assist with inquiries, sales, card verification, and inventory reconciliation while adhering to cash handling procedures, internal controls, company policies, and BCLC requirements.
- Session Readiness — Check equipment, terminals, and monitors prior to each session to ensure full functionality.
- Operational Awareness — Maintain knowledge of session formats, staffing, promotions, and special offerings.
- Inventory Maintenance — Maintain adequate cage supplies and ensure inventory is organized and accounted for.
- Documentation & Reporting — Complete deposits, data entry, session paperwork, and required reports with accuracy.
- Professional Communication — Communicate effectively and professionally with guests and colleagues to support a positive gaming environment.
- Team Collaboration — Maintain strong rapport with colleagues to support a productive, respectful, and cohesive work environment.
- Regulatory Compliance — Comply with licensing laws, health and safety standards, and all statutory regulations.
- Additional Duties — Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualifications
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Bingo Caller experience an asset
- Cage Cashier experience an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Work Environment Considerations
Standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, interruptions and non-traditional work hours
