Bryn Mawr Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Chicago, IL, has an immediate openings for part time Housekeepers.

Rate is $18.00 per hour. This is a Union position so Union dues will be required. Come join our great, dedicated team. Here are the hours/days:

PART-TIME:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7a-2:30p

OR

Sunday, Friday, Tuesday one week then Saturday Sunday the next week hours are 2:30p-10:00p

The primary purpose of this job is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.

2. Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Assure that water marks are removed from fixtures.

3. Clean windows/mirrors m resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.

4. Clean floors, including sweeping, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting in accordance with proper safety precautions.

5. Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.

Requirements:

1. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine, repetitive job duties.

2. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies personnel.

3. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas.

4. Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.

5. Be personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner.

6. Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the people with Mental Illness

7. Must be deemed eligible to work in healthcare by IDPH; may require fingerprinting if not already in the Registry.
