Overview
The Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Humanities Fellowships and Public Programs supports the administration and development of the Centers Undergraduate Fellowship Program, including academic programming, student mentorship, research field trips, academic programming, and community-building initiatives. Works closely with undergraduate fellows, faculty, and partners at NYU and beyond to cultivate an intellectually engaging and inclusive humanities research environment. Coordinates public programming and supports communications and outreach efforts related to the Centers events, fellowships, and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years Experience designing or facilitating undergraduate academic programming, workshops, or curriculum. Experience supporting humanities research, public humanities initiatives, or interdisciplinary academic programs. Experience coordinating programs, events, or communications in a university or cultural organization setting.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience with program development in a context involving members of the university community across ranks. Experience with multimedia documentation, photography, or digital content production. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or related design/media tools.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, mentoring, or advising undergraduate students. Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching and mentorship practices. Strong organizational, project management, and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with limited supervision. Familiarity with undergraduate research culture and humanities scholarship. Experience with WordPress, email marketing platforms, social media tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and campus partners. Ability to work evening events 3-4 days per month.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with the NYU community and the broader New York humanities, arts, and research landscape.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $84,700.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
