As a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/ Physiatry Physician, you will be dedicated exclusively to our inpatient rehabilitation service, playing a vital role in helping patients recover from serious illness, injury, and disability through compassionate, patient-centered care.
This position is based at RIO, our 36-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation facility, and is critical to the success of both the program and the patients we serve. Working alongside therapists, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals, you will lead and coordinate comprehensive treatment plans designed to maximize functional outcomes and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities
Clinical:
- Serves as Attending Physician on patients admitted to Legacy Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon.
- Provides coverage or cross coverage for Rehabilitation Services, twenty-four (24) hours per day, starting with weekends but with the potential to add weekday shifts.
- Provides direct medical care and consultation services for patients requiring rehabilitation services who are hospitalized at a Legacy hospital, or who are referred for outpatient evaluation or services.
- Responds promptly in writing to referral source with evaluation and suggested plan of care.
- Provides telephone consultative services as appropriate for patients with injuries and/or disabilities possibly requiring rehabilitation services.
- Provides medical coordination of direct patient care delivered by multidisciplinary team including nurses and therapists.
Administration:
- Participates with physicians, surgeons, support services and other hospital personnel in coordinating the care of patients receiving rehabilitation services.
- Facilitates the transfer of patients between the clinical units and Rehabilitation Service.
Qualifications
- Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency or fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
