Job Description

The Healthcare Security Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day security operations within Lemontree Healthcare facilities. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and property. The Supervisor will supervise security officers, enforce healthcare security policies, and collaborate with other departments to maintain a secure and safe environment.

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday
Shift: 7:00am-7:00pm

Rate of Pay: $19-$20

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Training:
    • Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to security officers on shift.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to ensure staff is well-equipped to handle security protocols.
    • Ensure all security personnel are following procedures related to safety, security, and emergency response.
  • Security Operations:
    • Oversee and monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access system's are functioning properly.
    • Conduct routine patrols to ensure the premises are secure, identifying and addressing any potential security threats.
    • Respond to and investigate security incidents, including theft, vandalism, and emergency situations.
    • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed in cases of incidents or emergencies.
  • Policy Enforcement:
    • Enforce healthcare-specific security protocols and regulations, including visitor management, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
    • Ensure all security operations are in alignment with Lemontree Healthcare’s safety and security policies.
  • Incident Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and safety reports.
    • Submit regular security reports to senior management, including any notable security breaches or concerns.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Lead and coordinate security responses to medical emergencies, natural disasters, fire alarms, or other urgent situations.
  • Ensure that emergency response procedures are followed effectively and efficiently during crises.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with healthcare staff, including medical, administrative, and facility management teams, to address security concerns and create a secure working environment.
    • Collaborate with department heads to manage access control and ensure safety during high-traffic periods or special events.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
    • Experience in healthcare security or a similar setting preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • In-depth knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions in emergencies.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require working in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The role may involve standing or walking for extended periods, as well as occasional physical exertion, such as lifting equipment or assisting in evacuations.
  • The Healthcare Security Service Supervisor will be required to work in both office and field settings, including interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
