    • Review, audit, and approve therapeutic diets and menus provided by the contracted off-site kitchen to ensure alignment with physician orders and hospital standards.
    • Oversee the intake, handling, and serving protocols of patient meals delivered from the partner facility to ensure food safety and temperature control.
    • Conduct periodic reviews and screenings of patient nutritional needs, coordinating special dietary requirements or restrictions with the nursing staff.
  • Regulatory & Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure off-site meal delivery procedures comply with local, state, federal, and sanitation regulations for healthcare food handling.
    • Participate in quality assurance audits and clinical interdisciplinary meetings to optimize patient dietary outcomes.
    • Review and update facility dietary policies, contract terms, and emergency meal plans as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certifications:

  • Active Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential from the Dietary Managers Association (ANFP).
  • Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) preferred.
  • Current CPR / BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).

Skills & Abilities:
