This role plays a key part in strengthening and expanding a mid-level donor program that directly fuels mission-driven impact through sustained philanthropic support.
It focuses on building meaningful relationships with individual donors in the mid-tier giving range, guiding them through engagement, stewardship, and long-term cultivation strategies.
You will help convert engaged supporters into higher-level giving societies while also identifying pathways toward major and planned gifts.
The position blends donor relationship management, data-driven fundraising analysis, and multi-channel engagement strategies.
It requires close collaboration with senior development leadership to ensure consistent pipeline growth and donor movement across giving levels.
You will also leverage modern tools and insights, including AI-enabled systems, to enhance segmentation, personalization, and donor outreach.

- Execute and refine mid-level donor engagement strategies including cultivation, solicitation, retention, reactivation, and donor upgrade pathways within a structured moves-management framework.
- Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of mid-level donors while supporting broader communications and stewardship initiatives across donor segments.
- Track donor engagement activity using CRM systems such as NetSuite to ensure accurate recordkeeping, segmentation, and reporting.
- Conduct donor analysis and campaign performance reviews, providing actionable insights and reporting on fundraising effectiveness and pipeline growth.
- Identify, research, and qualify high-potential prospects using tools such as iWave and other prospecting platforms.
- Support donor transition pathways into higher-level giving programs, including major gift pipelines and planned giving opportunities.
- Coordinate donor engagement activities such as calls, events, stewardship touchpoints, and cultivation campaigns.
- Ensure timely and meaningful acknowledgment of gifts, including Donor Advised Fund contributions, with strong stewardship practices.
- Collaborate with development leadership to align donor strategy with organizational fundraising goals and revenue targets.
- Leverage AI-enabled fundraising tools to enhance donor segmentation, personalization, and engagement strategies.
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or donor relations with direct responsibility for donor engagement and revenue generation.
- Proven experience managing mid-level donor portfolios and executing moves-management strategies.
- Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with individual donors and philanthropic stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM systems and donor databases to track engagement, analyze performance, and manage pipelines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret fundraising data and optimize campaign performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor messaging.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Self-starter mindset with strong autonomy while remaining collaborative in a remote team structure.
- Familiarity with prospect research tools and donor intelligence platforms (e.g., iWave or similar).
- Experience leveraging AI or digital tools in fundraising or donor engagement is highly valued.
- Strong alignment with mission-driven work and commitment to social impact organizations.
- Competitive salary range: $65,000 – $80,000 annually.
