Job Description

Position Summary

The Lead Lodgekeeper is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness throughout the Club's accommodations, common areas and amenities. This position leads by example, assisting with daily housekeeping operations while providing guidance, training, and support to the Lodgekeeping team. The Lead Lodgekeeper ensures that every guest and member experiences the exceptional level of service expected at a luxury private club.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and support the Lodgekeeping team during daily operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Director.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding new Lodgekeepers.
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure service standards are met.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

  • Housekeeping Operations
  • Clean and inspect public spaces, and back-of-house areas to luxury hospitality standards.
  • Replace towels, replenish amenities, dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and damaged items promptly.
  • Perform deep cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning as assigned.
  • Ensure housekeeping carts, storage areas, and linen closets remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.

  • Quality Assurance
  • Correct deficiencies immediately and provide coaching when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed quality standards while working eficiently to meet daily productivity goals.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels of towels, amenities, and cleaning supplies.

  • Guest Service
  • Provide warm, courteous, and professional interactions with members, guests, homeowners, and fellow team members.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
  • Anticipate guest needs and contribute to creating memorable experiences.

  • Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment safely and maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all Club policies, health regulations, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding members, homeowners, guests, and Club operations.

  • Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel, resort, private club, or similar hospitality environment required.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to lead by example.

  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
