Sonographer (PRN Days)
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team on a PRN basis, primarily working during daytime shifts. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations on abdomen, vascular, OB/GYN and breast patients according to physician orders and clinical protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
- Review and analyze images for clarity and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
Skills and Qualifications:
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or registration (e.g., ARDMS or CCI)
- Proven experience performing ultrasound procedures, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible scheduling
- Attention to detail and technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment
