Medical Receptionist
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM | $18-$19/hour | Full-Time (30 hours/week, up to 40 hours as needed)

What You'll Do
As a Medical Receptionist, you'll play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the daily administrative operations of our surgery center.
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
- Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate records
- Register patients and collect co-pays, deposits, and required documentation
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Proactively fill open appointment slots by contacting patients on the waitlist
- Prepare new patient paperwork and maintain organized electronic medical records
- Create and update patient charts within the EMR system
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Prepare examination rooms and assist with administrative support as needed
- Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and patients
- Maintain an organized, clean front office environment
- Complete required annual training and comply with facility policies
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in an administrative or front office role
- Minimum one (1) year of hands-on experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Previous healthcare or medical office experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Exceptional customer service and patient-focused communication
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, compassionate, and dependable demeanor
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a healthcare team
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance
- Positive attitude and willingness to support coworkers when needed
