Job Description
The Spirit of the Position:
The Finance Manager will report to the Senior General Manager and will assist the Senior General Manager and General Managers in all aspects of the financial operations. The Finance Manager will serve as the on-site point of contact for matters relating to financial reporting and/or audit requests as well as be responsible for creating accurate and timely client invoices and ensure the operations and maintenance teams are operating within the approved budgets. The Finance Manager will work on daily reconciliation processes and tasks in compliance with the finance department as well as with the administrator. The Finance Manager will also ensure we are following all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as stipulated in our Agreement with our client to ensure we are reporting accurately and providing the required information as outlined in the contract. This position will be supported by a Regional Controller and Home Office Accounting. The Finance Manager will support and oversee a Financial Analyst.
Principal Job Duties:
- Work with the respective departments to ensure compliance with the timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting to the Airport on operations, maintenance, safety, environmental performance, and customer service.
- Assist in preparation and submitting the Monthly Operating Reports by Service Line,
- Review and reconcile operating expense reports and vendor invoices including from Joint Venture and Small Business Enterprises
- Maintain accurate and complete records of SBE utilization in B@Gnow Compliance Reporting System
- Assist in automating data reporting feeds to client wherever feasible and work alongside I.T. and Business Analytics teams to create custom reports as requested
- Ensure timely invoicing and payments in conjunction with Operations, AR and AP Teams
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts as requested by our Client
- Review and prepare Payroll and timecard monthly reporting
- Prepare operating Expense Report, Expense Backup Report
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly client reporting, and payments as needed.
- Assisting in maintaining discrepancy documentation and follow up as needed on unreconciled variances.
- Coordinate and conduct random audits to ensure policy and procedure compliance.
- Review of financial policies and procedures compliance
- Coordinate and assist with all mandatory third-party audits to ensure timeliness and avoid any fines or penalties.
- Process financial analyses and prepare and submit required reports to onsite airport teams and/or clients as needed.
- Assist in preparing labor usage reports for operational teams.
- Address any financial red flags that may occur.
- Additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with a proven track record in financial management.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables,), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership experience and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Ability to learn and work on proprietary application software
- Strong customer service skills and abilities.
- Ability to create and process financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
