Position Summary

You will measure, blend, and prepare materials used to manufacture thread seal tape. You will also operate equipment that forms these materials into billets and processes them into rolls, following established procedures to ensure consistent quality and safe production.

Key Responsibilities

• Weigh, measure, and blend PTFE resins, pigments, and lubricants according to work instructions.
• Operate preforming equipment to prepare billets for extrusion.
• Move resin drums between receiving, cold storage, and production areas, and stage materials with proper identification.
• Set up and operate extrusion equipment, select the correct tooling and dies, and load materials.
• Unload, weigh, and label finished jumbo rolls.
• Use gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify that products meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of material usage, production activity, and finished products.
• Identify and separate materials or products that do not meet requirements and report concerns to team leaders.
• Inspect and clean equipment and tools, and keep aisles and work areas free of safety hazards.

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ability to follow work instructions and accurately weigh and measure materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• One to three months of related experience in a manufacturing facility.

Work Environment

This position works onsite in a manufacturing environment around raw materials, blending equipment, and extrusion machinery. Employees must follow required safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.

Physical Requirements

The role regularly requires using hands to handle materials, tools, and controls; reaching overhead; and working in positions that include standing, stooping, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods. Employees must lift, push, and pull materials and equipment, including frequently lifting or moving up to 35 pounds. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
