Blast Fork Truck Driver in Browntown, Wisconsin at Grede Wisconsin Subsidiaries LLC

Position: Forklift Operator

Location: Browntown Facility

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the supervisor of the department, moves or transports product or materials from one area of the manufacturing facility to directed storage or staging areas per direction of supervision verbally or in writing in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. This position reports to the Supervisor of the department per the shift.

Responsibilities:

· Forklift operators, under the direction of supervision, operate a powered forklift truck in a safe manner to transport items, such as castings, cores, tubs, racks, skids, flasks, and other materials to designated areas to keep production delays to a minimum and service manufacturing areas.

· Forklift operators must follow and conform to all written and verbal safety and quality guidelines and procedures pertaining to their specific areas as set forth by supervision of the Company.

· Responsibility includes reporting repair needs immediately to supervision or maintenance, and safe operation at all times per training guidelines upon hire into the job.

· Keep the forklift full of diesel or LP fuel.

· Attend weekly associate meeting.

· Inform supervisor of any operational and/or quality problems.

· Fill out and follow all directions on the fork truck daily inspection checklist.

· Additional duties as may be required.

This is a 2nd Shift Position

Requirements:

· Minimum of completion of tenth (10) grade or high school.

· Must possess the ability to comprehend written and verbal directions.

· Must possess physical capabilities to move on to and off of the powered equipment, walk, bend, stand, lift fifty pounds on a regular basis, and sit for at least 10 hours per shift.

· Must be trained and certified in forklift operation within the facility and wear the required helmet sticker signifying this status. Mechanical aptitude or related industrial experience required.

· Must have safety training required of all associates of Browntown Foundry.
