Job Summary:

The Recruiting Coordinator & Sourcer provides operational and sourcing support to the Talent Acquisition team by identifying qualified candidates, coordinating recruiting activities, and delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

This role is responsible for proactively building talent pipelines, managing interview logistics, supporting recruiting events, and ensuring an efficient, professional hiring process from application through onboarding.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source qualified candidates using LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, referrals, social media, trade schools, military programs, community partnerships, and other recruiting channels.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and high-volume positions.
  • Review resumes, conduct initial candidate screenings, and recommend qualified candidates to Talent Acquisition Partners.
  • Coordinate interviews, hiring manager schedules, candidate communications, and interview logistics.
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the recruiting process, ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience.
  • Post job openings, manage applicant flow within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and maintain accurate recruiting records.
  • Support recruiting events, career fairs, hiring events, apprenticeship programs, and community outreach activities.
  • Assist with offer preparation, pre-employment activities, background checks, and onboarding coordination.
  • Prepare recruiting reports and maintain recruiting metrics, pipeline activity, and requisition status updates.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers to ensure recruiting activities are completed efficiently while continuously identifying opportunities to improve recruiting processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, human resources, staffing, customer service, or an administrative support role.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or other recruiting platforms preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recruiting documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, schools, and community organizations.
  • Construction, manufacturing, industrial, skilled trades, or field recruiting experience is preferred but not required.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and initiative.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed workforces.

  • Skilled in WorkBright and ICIMS ATS preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • The preferred location for this role is Richmond, VA.
  • May include occasional travel to up to 10%.

  • Recruiting data, ATS records, and recruiting metrics remain accurate and up to date.
  • Recruiting events and outreach initiatives generate strong candidate engagement and support workforce growth.
