Requirements:Duties
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans
- Deliver individual sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies
- Implement trauma-informed care strategies for clients with PTSD, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or chronic pain conditions
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, patient records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate patient care and support services
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to best practices in trauma care
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master’s degree, or higher in psychology, counseling, or related mental health field; licensure or certification preferred but not required
- Proven experience in psychotherapy with a focus on trauma recovery and crisis management
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and geriatric populations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions is preferred
- Skills in motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and behavioral management are advantageous
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while demonstrating empathy and active listening skills
