Respiratory Therapist in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Therapist level I provides full range of respiratory care to Adult patient populations as evidenced by the skill/competency assessment. Ensures the prompt and proficient provisions of respiratory related duties in accordance with physician directives. Complies with departmental and University Health policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree preferred. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license with the Texas State Board of Health required. Must be BLS certified. ACLS Preferred. Instructor certifications for BLS is acceptable in lieu of BLS.
