We're searching for a UK-based Head of Marketing to join our Government, Compliance & Security (GCS) Marketing team, so that we can define and execute the marketing strategy for our OneView business across the maritime, defence, and adjacent government sectors. The Head of GCS Marketing will lead end-to-end marketing – from positioning and content creation through to demand generation and stakeholder engagement – to build sustained pipeline, long-term market presence, and trusted authority in complex, high-trust industries.
How You'll Spend Your Time
- Define and own the marketing strategy for the maritime and defence markets, aligning it to overall business growth objectives and shaping compelling positioning that articulates the value of the OneView Operational Readiness Platform in mission-critical environments.
- Design and execute lead-generation and demand-creation programmes tailored to long-cycle enterprise sales, partnering closely with sales to align campaigns to target accounts, priority sectors, and key buying personas.
- Build and manage account-based and sector-based marketing initiatives to support pipeline creation and deal progression, while translating complex product capabilities into customer-focused narratives that resonate with senior operational, planning, and transformation stakeholders.
- Establish and grow our presence with key industry stakeholders – including defence organisations, maritime operators, partners, analysts, and industry bodies – by owning engagement across events, conferences, roundtables, and thought-leadership forums.
- Lead the creation of high-quality content – including thought-leadership articles, white papers, case studies, sector-specific messaging, webinars, and executive briefings – working with internal subject-matter experts to turn expertise into engaging, accessible material.
- Own the brand narrative and oversee website, digital presence, PR, and marketing communications to ensure consistent messaging, relevance, and clarity across all channels.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing function, operating effectively in a matrix environment and partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure marketing activity reflects delivery reality and customer outcomes.
What Kind of Things We're Most Interested in You Having
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role within B2B software, enterprise technology, or adjacent sectors.
- A strong track record of lead generation and demand creation in complex, long sales-cycle environments.
- Experience marketing to government, defence, maritime, infrastructure, or similarly regulated industries.
- Exceptional content creation and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for senior audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience operating in matrix organisations, influencing without direct authority.
- Desirable: experience with strategic workforce planning, workforce management, or operational planning solutions; familiarity with account-based marketing and enterprise GTM models; and experience supporting international or multi-sector go-to-market strategies.
- A strategic, commercially minded, and outcomes-focused mindset, with the credibility and confidence to engage senior industry and customer stakeholders.
- A knack for working collaboratively and hands-on within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment where you can build structure and long-term market impact.
