Registered Nurse (RN) – Presurgery/Post Recovery

Prepare Patients for Surgery. Support Them Through Recovery.

As a Presurgery/Post Recovery RN at Froedtert South, you'll play an important role in the patient's surgical journey—from preparing patients before their procedure to providing attentive care during recovery.

You'll work closely with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide safe, coordinated, patient-centered care.

What You'll Do

• Complete comprehensive preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Review medical histories, medications, allergies, and relevant clinical information.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established standards.
• Monitor patients following procedures and assess their readiness for discharge or transfer.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and members of the surgical team.
• Provide patients and families with clear pre- and post-procedure education.
• Reinforce discharge instructions and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety and infection prevention throughout the surgical experience.

What We're Looking For

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current RN license or eligibility to practice in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Perioperative, procedural, emergency, critical care, or related experience preferred, as applicable.

Pay & Benefits

$33.00 - $51.50 per hour | Differentials available for PMs, Nights and/or Weekends when on call.

Pay is based on experience.
