Course description: National and international policies and programs designed to eliminate the causes of violent conflict and prevent their re-emergence. Dialogue and reconciliation. Political and economic reforms. Local development and empowerment.
Required experience and qualifications:
- A doctorate or equivalent training in the discipline or a related field.
- Expertise in peace processes, different forms of peace, and national and international policies and practices for sustainable peace;
- Expertise in dialogue, reconciliation, and social development aimed at achieving sustainable peace and preventing conflict;
- Practical experience in peace processes would be an asset
- Passive proficiency in the second official language
- Sensitivity to multiple differences (including abilities, genders, and cultures) and to students' concerns.
- Proficiency with both in-person and online learning tools
