The Mobile Crew program provides employment to individuals who provide janitorial services at various locations in the Prince William area.

Hourly rate $17.00 per hour, Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm located at the Mobile Crew Program located in Triangle, VA.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The incumbent, under the direction of the Program Director is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of Mobile Crew.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for assisting with the developing and implementing of individual client program plans.

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of the clients. Monitor crew for personal and safety needs at community based contracts throughout work schedule.

• Works directly with the clients in implementing the program.

• Directs and supervises the program staff in executing the program.

• Acquire skill to assist and complete duties at each contract site to include all janitorial skills.

• Responsible for assisting with documentation per program requirements.

• Serves as a role model for clients.

• Maintain professional conduct and relations with clients, families, agency personnel, and contract liaisons.

• Responsible for transportation and supervision of clients.

• Assists clients as needed with self-help skills.

• Must be insurable as a driver for the agency.

• Ability to assist clients on or off the vehicles to include clients with wheelchairs.

• Ability to check oil and vehicles fluids. Report appropriate repairs to appropriate supervisor.

• Supervise crew insuring completion of work at each contact daily.

• Become familiar with emergency procedures and the ability to follow2 through with required action including verbal and physical response.

• May represent Little Creek Services and The Arc at various meetings, community activities, etc.

• Ability to read, writes, understand and effectively communicate the English language. Ability to communicate safety precautions and demonstrate precautions to the clients in a continuous manner.

• Ability to recognize dangerous settings and respond appropriately.

• Ability to maintain supervision of the clients.

• Comply with training polices as scheduled.

• Performs other duties that may be required by the Director and Assistant Director.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Understanding of persons with mental disabilities. Gain knowledge of the program, agency policies, and clients.

• Ability to work effectively with people. Maintain positive and professional relations with the clients and their families.

• Ability to adapt to new environments, clients, and change of daily work schedules.

• Treat clients with dignity and respect. When possible allow tasks to reflect clients’ preferences.

• Ability to become First Aid and CPR certified.

• Knowledge in emergency first aid.

• Ability to communicate effectively.


Full-time 40 hrs/wk Monday-Friday 8am-4pm at the Mobile Crew Program located in Triangle, Virginia.
