Job Description

About ForterraAt Forterra, we are unleashing autonomy at scale to transform the battlefield. Our mission is to build the foundational platforms that enable an intelligent ecosystem to coordinate, adapt, and execute with speed and precision even in the uncertainty and disruption of modern conflict. In an era marked by rapid technological change and evolving threats, we design for flexibility, survivability, and operational dominance.

Forterra delivers weapons, sensors, and battlefield effects through integrated autonomous networks reaching operational areas faster, safer, and without placing human lives at risk. Our systems operate with distributed control, dynamic routing, and real-time responsiveness, enabling sustained advantage across complex mission environments.

About the role

Forterra is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Workplace Operations Coordinator to join our team in Clarksburg, Maryland. This part-time, on-site role will help ensure that our employees have clean, well-stocked, welcoming, and fully functioning workplaces across three nearby buildings.

You will spend much of your time moving between locations, preparing each building for the workday, monitoring supplies and shared spaces, responding to employee needs, and identifying ways to improve the office experience. You may also provide occasional reception and front-desk coverage, but this role is primarily focused on hands-on workplace operations and employee support.

The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, service-minded, and comfortable taking ownership of a wide variety of responsibilities. You notice the details others may miss, act quickly to solve problems, and take pride in creating an environment where employees can do their best work.

We're glad to train the right candidate. We care more about how you work than what you've done prior. This is a self-directed role – our perfect candidate will thrive in our organization if they can spot what needs to happen and takes action/ownership of it without waiting for direction from their manager or peers.

This role is a great fit for someone who's energized by real ownership and autonomy from day one, whether you're a student, a parent working around school hours, or returning to the workforce after time away.

This is an on-site role expected to work approximately 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The exact schedule will be determined with the selected candidate and may be flexible within the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET. This role opens the buildings each morning, so consistent, on-time attendance is essential to the job.

Service Orientation: You enjoy helping others and take satisfaction in making employees' workdays easier.

Proactive Problem-Solving: You anticipate needs, act with urgency, and solve problems efficiently.

Dependability: You're consistent and on time every day, because the team is counting on you to open the buildings and keep things running.

Desire to Learn: You are eager to learn about the company and understand how you can best support the team.

Team Player: You work well with others, communicate clearly, and hold yourself accountable. You have no issue assisting other teams/departments if it’s needed. We are one team with the same goal.
