Job Description
Allient Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Buffalo, New York!
The Senior Accountant utilizes hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses. Apply now!
Responsibilities:
- Performs more complex accounting activities, such as 842 and 606 analyses, in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensures that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
- Reconciles more complex accounts and checks the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete, such as accruals, leases, and derivatives.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including account and bank reconciliations, financial statement fluctuations, and summary reports for senior management as well as ad hoc requests.
- Work cross functionally with other operational teams to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
- Coordinates accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting is required.
- CPA Certification preferred.
- Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
- Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets and accounting software preferred.
