Job Type: (July 20 – July 24)

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join our dynamic culinary team in Wilmington, NC. This role offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to delivering exceptional food experiences. As an Experienced Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Your expertise in food preparation, menu execution, and kitchen operations will contribute directly to our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Execute menu planning by following detailed recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency across all meals.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food production machinery.
  • Maintain strict food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold health regulations and prevent contamination.
  • Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to minimize waste and optimize ingredients usage.
  • Support high-volume food production during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members on meal preparation for catering events or large-scale service needs.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a cook with a strong background in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures.
  • Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and other culinary methods.
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients.
  • Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food presentation standards.
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of food handling regulations within the food industry or restaurant environment.
  • Capable of working under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
  • Effective team player with good communication skills who is dedicated to serving quality meals with enthusiasm.
Requirements:

Requirements

Previous cook experience required.

Valid Food Handler Certificate (FHC) required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Dress Code Black T-shirt, Black pants, and Black non-slip shoes
