Backwoods Security Services is currently seeking an experienced Security Guard for patrols in/around Fort St. John, BC.

Where: Fort St. John, BC and surrounding area

Wage: $23.00 / Hour

Shift: Days/Nights; 12-hour shifts (mix of days and nights; start on dayshift for 1 day then move to nights)

Rotation: 8 days on, 6 days off

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling and monitoring premises
• Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points
• Access Control: Permit authorized persons entry to site when required
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain if necessary
• Complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA’s) and Daily Occurrence Reports (DOR’s) and Incident Reports (IR’s) when required
• Able to work efficiently and effectively both as part of a team or individually on site

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 1-year experience Industrial Security settings
• Valid BC Security Guard License
• Standard First Aid with CPR (asset) or OFA Level 2, CSTS2020, WHMIS2015
• Class 5 Driver's License with 3 Year Personal Drivers Abstract (less than 6 demerits)
• Objectivity, emotional control and dependability
• Able to follow complex instructions, both written and verbal
• Knowledgeable about security operations and procedures
