Job Description
- Teaching Assistant for Conservation Biology class (ESS 5630) in the fall. Attend class sessions (fully in person) and help answer questions and provide support to small groups of students during in-class labs (3.5 hours/week).
- Arrange time outside of class to be available to students for working on class assignments and the final project, and to provide tutoring in content and skills to students who need additional support (3 hours/week).
- Assistant may also help with grading assignments (1.5 hour/week), finding Conservation Biology topics in the current news (1 hour/week), and preparing for class (1 hour/week).
- Work will occur during class time as well as outside of class as arranged with individuals or groups of students.
Qualifications
- Applicants should have:
- A strong background in Conservation Biology, and have already taken the class at AUNE in a past year.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability and interest in working with other graduate students to build knowledge and skills
- Ability to attend class on Fridays
