Job Description

Summary:
Manages the Food & Beverage department at their assigned site. Provides effective leadership and assistance in regards to accomplishing the department goals and objectives. Performs responsibilities in a guest service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior team member, guest and vendor relations.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for personnel functions, such as: interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, development, supervision, delegations, evaluations and disciplinary actions; will perform these functions in a timely manner.
• Compiles and enters information into the computer systems and HRIS database.
• Responsible for all activities of the site Food & Beverage department.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and identify opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and implement strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that team member’s schedules posted in an accurate, fair and timely manner, including the scheduling of any necessary team member training.
• Manages all stock and product issues, including: ordering supplies, inventory control and equipment maintenance.
• Responsible for a clean and safe environment by holding F&B supervisors & team members accountable for cleaning schedules.
• Responsible for achieving the highest possible standards of guest satisfaction and team member relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner conducive to that goal.
• Ensures food quality and quantity for the entire Food and Beverage department at their site.
• Prepares menu selections, plan daily specials, guest service options and procedure improvements.
• Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and annual paperwork and any reports according to department and company needs in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the enforcement of basic sanitation practices, HACCP standards and procedures in all respective areas.
• Investigates and resolves guest complaints related to the Food and Beverage department at their site.
• Responsible for alcohol slowdowns and cutoffs when on site and needed.
• Responsible in creating a hospitality-centric service focus that ensures guest satisfaction and champions guest-driven team members.
• Responsible for holding F&B management team accountable for the ongoing development of Team and provides training.
• Monitors, evaluates, and improves guest service techniques.
• Complies with all applicable laws, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Associates degree in Business, Restaurant Management or equivalent experience and at least three (3) years of food service experience. OR,
• A combination of work experience with progressive responsibilities totaling five (5) years that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in windows-based programs and knowledge to operate general office equipment, software and databases.
• Ability to accurately calculate basic math equations such as addition and subtraction.
• Knowledge and ability to operate point of sales system.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to interact with many different types of guests and team members to encourage a fun atmosphere.
• Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
• Must successfully pass TIPS training upon hire and annually thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification and a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Class MAST 12 permit.
• Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training, if applicable, upon hire and annually.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid non-gaming permit or Tribal Gaming Badge (whichever is applicable).
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
• Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
• Ability to frequently walk, sit, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat and/or reach.
• Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.
• Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio/telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
• Occasionally works near or around electricity.
• Frequently works near or around mechanical moving parts.
• Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
• Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke.
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
