What you'll do

1. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
2. Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to determine project requirements.
3. Lead the preparation and submission of competitive and comprehensive bid proposals.
4. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to obtain pricing and project information.
5. Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess project conditions and verify scope requirements.
6. Mentor and support junior estimators, providing guidance on estimating processes and best practices.
7. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients throughout the estimating and bidding process.
8. Identify potential project risks, cost concerns, and scope gaps, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
9. Prepare detailed cost reports, bid summaries, and presentations for management and project stakeholders.

What we are looking for

1. 8+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in commercial or large-scale projects.
2. Proven experience developing detailed estimates and competitive bids for complex, large-scale construction projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, labor requirements, and project costs.
4. Proficiency with Trimble AutoBid or similar construction estimating software.
5. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
6. Experience with mechanical field installation or commercial HVAC construction is a strong plus.
7. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
