Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Face of the credit union in providing excellent service to members, dealers, brokers, and real estate agents. Demonstrates outstanding service delivery and helps resolve lending issues. Performs duties related to indirect and direct lending, including verifying income, ordering reports, generating loan documents, obtaining pertinent documentation for loan files, and responding to member requests.

Pay range for this hourly position is $33.31 - $38.94/hr with a progressive benefits package.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.
  1. Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
  2. Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  3. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  4. Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  5. Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  6. Provides prompt, courteous, professional, and efficient service to dealers, real estate agents, and mortgage brokers, as well as existing and prospective members in all forms of communication.
  7. Has the ability to explain the loan process from start to finish and discuss the documentation in detail.
  8. Must have a general understanding of income analysis such that an applicant’s income can be accurately determined and relayed to underwriting.
  9. Enters new loan applications into the loan origination system.
  10. Performs duties related to indirect and direct lending, including verifying income, ordering reports, generating loan documents, obtaining pertinent documentation for loan files, and responding to member requests for titles, documents, etc.. Reviews files prior to funding to ensure all requirements, stipulations and other required documentation is collected to comply with lenders approval requirements
  11. Follows-up with loan sources for missing documentation and/or additional information.
  12. Registers Liens on titles, orders flood certifications, and maintains follow-up.
  13. Prior to funding, audits and performs necessary verification of approved loan documentation through a variety of sources, including credit bureaus, employment verification, and park approval on all loans.
  14. Disburses, reconciles new loans funded through GL and retail branches as needed.
  15. Knowledgeable on completing title transfers in all our lending states.
  16. Performs HMDA update-review ensuring quality and accuracy.
  17. Escalates any alerts / flags uncovered during application acquisition or post funding to Indirect Lending or MFH leadership.
  18. Demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking abilities to organize daily work to meet departmental needs in an efficient manner.
  19. Manages special assignments and requests as directed by Indirect or MFH leadership.
  20. Assists Regional Managers with servicing and managing dealer / community partners.
  21. Understands and adheres to GreenState Credit Union Core Values
  22. Complies with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory policies.
  23. Understands and adheres to departmental goals and objectives.
  24. Completes all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  2. Must have at least three years of similar or related experience in customer service and/or processing with proven ability to handle a wide variety of functions quickly and accurately.
  3. Knowledge of Manufactured Lending programs and/or products.
  4. Experience with Consumer Loan Documents required.
  5. Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory compliance; HMDA, CRA, Flood Determinations, and the Patriot Act preferred.
  6. Knowledge of federal and state lending laws applicable to consumer lending preferred.
  7. Knowledgeable about all phases of loan documentation proper document filings and detail follow up in all our lending states preferred.
  8. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  9. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Self-motivated with exemplary time management and organizational skills.
  11. Works independently and meets critical deadlines.
  12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  13. Strong people skills and ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external members.
  14. Proven communication skills (in all forms of communication) and ability to assist upset customers/dealers/communities in a calm, professional manner.
  15. Exceptional diligence and accuracy.
  16. Must be bondable.
  17. Must be registered pursuant to requirements of the S.A.F.E Act.
  18. Adheres to all state, federal and credit union regulations, policies, and guidelines.
