We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Designer to join our team.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Job Overview:

Responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, estimating costs, conducting on site visits, and preparing proposals for landscape projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm measurements, create plant lists, and determine materials required for the project. Estimate various services (sod repair, slit-seeding, drainage, eavestrough cleaning, weed control).
  • Prepare estimates, proposals and maintain accurate records of project costs and profitability.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Measure and take required elevations of sites.
  • Collaborate with client’s other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Obtain locates and permits as necessary. Ensure data integrity in provided software systems.
  • Generate reports summarizing project costs, profitability, and potential risks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Landscape Design (degree or diploma) or Horticulture Technician required
  • Previous experience in landscape construction or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction materials, plant identification and industry standards.
  • Experience with AutoCad is preferred.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
