This role, the Shop/Fleet Mechanic, will oversee the performance and maintenance of the fleet vehicles and production machinery. Now this has different meaning than what you might be thinking if you're coming from a "traditional" garage; here you might be doing maintenance and repairs on trucks and cars. But, you may also be working on aerial lifts, forklifts, mini- excavators and other manufacturing equipment. No day is ever the same!
What will you do in your job?
This role, the Shop/Fleet Mechanic, will oversee the performance and maintenance of the fleet vehicles and production machinery. Now this has different meaning than what you might be thinking if you're coming from a "traditional" garage; here you might be doing maintenance and repairs on trucks and cars. But, you may also be working on aerial lifts, forklifts, mini- excavators and other manufacturing equipment. No day is ever the same!
What will you do in your job?
- Perform repair work on vehicles: breakdowns and malfunctions
- Follow flow procedures including documenting correct mileage/hours, saving and tagging all warranty and core parts, documenting all repairs on work order using complaint, cause, and correction format
- Follow parts ordering/billing procedures
- Perform preventive maintenance on off-road equipment such as lubrications, adjustments, and safety inspections
- High school diploma required
- Vocational or college related coursework -OR- experience equivalent required
- Current Driver's License
- Must be mechanically inclined (of course!)
- Work independently
- Communicate well
- Be highly organized
- Skilled in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems
- This position is located IN Plymouth, WI- remote work is not possible.
- Applicants must be able to work in the US as sponsorship is not an option.
