Process Technology Lab Technician in Ann Arbor, Michigan at Pacific Industrial Development

The Process Technology Lab Technician is responsible for assisting the process development team with daily experiments and lab operations. Utilize department resources to maintain day to day operations of the lab such as chemical inventory, safety procedures, sample preparation, and lab upkeep.

Job Duties

Perform laboratory procedures by following processes to achieve results that meet requirements.

• Perform and assist in performing chemical synthesis including solution preparation, precipitations, hydrothermal synthesis and more.
• Plan and execute basic experiments to achieve department goals.
• Experiment documentation with data analysis and report writing.
• Assist with cleaning lab, spray drier & reactors, grinding & sieving material, loading & unloading furnaces and organizing lab inventory
• Help establish and follow laboratory safety guidelines. Assist in ensuring lab staff comply with safety guidelines

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED – Associate degree preferred
• Knowledge of basic laboratory skills
• Ability to use basic lab equipment
• Ability to document data in lab worksheets
