You'll own receiving, storage, and issuance of raw and packaging materials, keep inventory accurate in SYSPRO, and lead and develop a team of warehouse clerks. You'll have real authority to set warehouse procedures and make day-to-day decisions on staffing, scheduling, and layout.
What you'll doReceiving, storage and issuance
- Direct receiving, inspection, labeling, put-away, storage, and issuance of raw and packaging materials, and write and improve the procedures behind them.
- Verify every delivery against the purchase order, checking condition, temperature, lot, and date codes; segregate rejected or held material and report it to Purchasing and Quality.
- Issue materials to production on time and accurately, and flag potential shortages early to Production, Purchasing, and the Plant Manager.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO rotation, organized storage, allergen segregation, and clear hold and quarantine status.
- Make sure maintenance parts, equipment, and other deliveries are received and the right department is notified.
- Coordinate with the Shipping Manager on dock scheduling, shared space and equipment, and handling of rejected material.
Inventory accuracy
- Own inventory accuracy in SYSPRO, with every receipt, issue, transfer, and adjustment posted correctly and on time.
- Keep paperwork outside SYSPRO organized and routed to the right teams: invoices to Accounting, packing slips and bills of lading to Purchasing, and certificates of analysis to FSQA.
- Run cycle counts and physical inventories, and drive variances to root cause.
- Keep traceability records ready for mock recalls and customer or regulatory audits.
- Report on inventory accuracy, variances, material movement, and productivity to the Plant Manager and COO.
Team leadership
- Lead, schedule, and assign warehouse clerks across all production shifts, and manage overtime within budget.
- Train clerks on procedures, SYSPRO, scanning, material handling, forklift operation, GMPs, and safety.
- Take part in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews, and hold the team to high standards.
Food safety and workplace safety

- Set and monitor security and access controls over inventory.
- Inspect warehouse equipment and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance.
Performance and improvement

- Track and improve inventory accuracy, on-time issuance, cycle count completion, and receiving turnaround.
- Work across Production, Purchasing, Quality, R&D, and Planning to solve material issues and improve layout, capacity, and processes.
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or 4+ years of equivalent warehouse, inventory, or materials management experience.
- At least 2 years supervising and training warehouse employees.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, FSMA, allergen control, lot traceability, and FIFO/FEFO.
- Experience with SYSPRO or a similar ERP, including inventory transactions and cycle counting, plus strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- A current forklift certification, or the ability to get one within 30 days of hire.
- Strong organization, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Leadership and communication skills that build accountability on a team.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
