This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Marketing based in the United States.

The Head of Marketing will lead the overall marketing strategy and execution for a fast-growing, AI-powered B2B SaaS business transforming how organizations manage employee relations. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the senior leadership team, this role will oversee brand positioning, product marketing, demand generation, pipeline growth, and digital presence. The successful candidate will build and develop a high-performing marketing function while aligning Sales, Product, and Customer Success around a consistent market narrative. Combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution, this individual will drive measurable revenue impact through data-driven campaigns, compelling content, and innovative AI-powered marketing workflows. The role offers an opportunity to shape the marketing direction of an ambitious technology business while helping organizations create more transparent, efficient, and supportive workplace environments. This is a fully remote leadership opportunity suited to an entrepreneurial marketing executive who thrives in a high-growth, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Marketing strategy and pipeline ownership: Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy and budget, ensuring alignment with company revenue objectives. Own marketing-sourced pipeline targets in partnership with Sales and Revenue Operations (RevOps), monitor performance weekly, and optimize investments to maximize qualified opportunities.
  • Channel strategy and demand generation: Define and manage the marketing channel mix across paid advertising, content marketing, events, community initiatives, partnerships, and outbound support. Evaluate channel effectiveness and continuously reallocate resources toward the highest-performing activities.
  • Team leadership and development: Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional marketing team, including content, community, events, product marketing, and marketing operations professionals. Recruit and onboard a Product Marketing Manager while establishing clear priorities and performance expectations.
  • Agency and partner management: Oversee external agencies, contractors, web design partners, developers, paid media specialists, and freelancers, ensuring consistent messaging, quality standards, and effective delivery.
  • Brand positioning and messaging: Establish a unified messaging framework across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success. Ensure that campaigns, website content, sales presentations, and customer communications consistently communicate the company's value proposition and competitive differentiation.
  • Product marketing: Define and continuously refine ideal customer profiles (ICPs), value propositions, market positioning, and competitive messaging across the HR and employee relations technology landscape. Use customer interviews, win/loss analysis, and sales feedback to strengthen market relevance, particularly as the business expands into larger accounts.
  • Product launches and sales enablement: Partner with Product teams to coordinate product launches, including naming, positioning, messaging, packaging, tiering, launch calendars, and sales enablement. Maintain an effective sales resource library containing presentations, case studies, business cases, videos, and competitive materials.
  • Customer marketing: Oversee customer engagement initiatives, including weekly newsletters, quarterly product roadmap webinars, and in-app communications announcing significant product updates and releases.
  • Content, community, and events: Develop and execute an integrated content and community strategy focused on relevant buyer priorities. Expand content initiatives through SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), while coordinating podcasts, webinars, industry events, and community engagement to generate measurable pipeline.
  • Website strategy and optimization: Own the website roadmap and backlog, ensuring that messaging clearly communicates competitive advantages and encourages demo bookings. Collaborate with design and development partners to optimize landing pages, improve user experience, support paid campaigns, and increase conversion rates through continuous testing.
  • Paid media management: Direct paid media agencies and internal stakeholders in developing audience strategies, campaign messaging, and creative assets. Monitor campaign performance and collaborate with RevOps to optimize spending toward qualified pipeline and revenue objectives.
  • AI and marketing automation: Leverage AI tools and automation platforms, including Gong, Claude, and HubSpot Prospector, to streamline campaign execution, improve content production, and increase team efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Data-driven insights: Extract actionable insights from customer and prospect conversations, sales interactions, and email communications to strengthen positioning, improve competitive differentiation, and inform marketing decisions.
  • Performance measurement: Establish and monitor marketing KPIs, including marketing-sourced pipeline, conversion rates, win rates, website performance, demo bookings, sales enablement adoption, and product launch execution. Work with executive leadership to define measurable success targets during the first 60 days.
Requirements:
  • Professional experience: At least 10 years of experience in enterprise B2B SaaS marketing, specifically targeting mid-market and enterprise customers rather than primarily small businesses.
  • Leadership experience: At least three years of experience managing and developing marketing teams, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional professionals and build high-performing teams.
  • Revenue and pipeline ownership: Proven experience managing marketing budgets, owning pipeline generation targets, and demonstrating measurable contributions to business growth and revenue performance.
  • Product marketing expertise: Strong background in product positioning, messaging development, competitive intelligence, go-to-market strategies, and product launches that successfully support sales teams.
  • Team and agency management: Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and develop marketing professionals while managing external agencies, contractors, and strategic partners.
  • Hands-on marketing capabilities: Comfortable combining executive-level strategy with practical execution, including writing marketing copy, developing presentations, reviewing creative assets, and working with tools such as Canva and AI-powered platforms.
  • AI and automation proficiency: Practical experience building automated marketing campaigns and AI-driven workflows using tools such as Gong, Claude, and HubSpot Prospector.
  • Startup and growth-stage experience: Previous experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment, with the ability to operate effectively within a lean, resource-conscious, and high-output team.
  • Content and communication skills: Excellent writing and communication abilities, with the versatility to produce competitive briefs, advertising copy, customer newsletters, and executive-level marketing materials.
  • Analytical capabilities: Strong data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret campaign performance, pipeline metrics, customer insights, and market trends to guide strategic investments.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to build strong relationships and alignment with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and executive leadership, ensuring shared priorities and consistent messaging.
  • Preferred industry experience: Previous experience working in HR, HR technology, or marketing to HR, Legal, and Compliance decision-makers is a significant advantage.
  • Preferred AI experience: Experience marketing AI-powered products or integrating artificial intelligence into marketing operations, campaign management, and content production.
  • Preferred growth expertise: Experience positioning a business for expansion into mid-market and enterprise customer segments.
Benefits:
