LOCATION: 3639 W. Lincoln St, Phoenix, AZ

SCHEDULE: This is on-call so hours will vary and include weekends.

ABOUT CPLC Corazón
CPLC Corazón is a client-centered, multicultural center with bilingual staff offering a variety of treatment modalities. We have been providing Substance Abuse treatment through our CARF Accredited Level II Residential Treatment Center since 1983. The 30- to 60-day structured treatment program incorporates best practices targeted to the clients enrolled in the program.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
As the Client Support Specialist, you will support and be responsible for the daily operations of the transitional living, including oversight of the safety and well-being of residents on the Corazón transitional living.

  • Welcome new residents, guiding them through intake procedures so they feel informed and supported from day one.
  • Maintain a safe campus, regularly checking all areas, securing the facility at curfew, and responding appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
  • Support residents' recovery journeys, offering encouragement, monitoring attendance at required activities, and helping enforce program expectations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing accurate documentation, reporting concerns, and consulting with supervisors to address resident or program needs.
  • Keep daily operations running smoothly by coordinating transportation, monitoring chores, implementing crisis procedures, and assisting wherever needed to ensure a safe, supportive environment.

  • You thrive in supportive, residential environments, bringing experience working with populations such as individuals experiencing homelessness, justice‑involved men, or those living with serious mental illness.
  • You stay calm and capable in crisis situations, using sound judgment, professionalism, and clear communication when things get challenging.
  • You communicate with clarity and compassion, both verbally and in writing, making it easy for residents, teammates, and supervisors to rely on you.
  • You show up responsibly and reliably, following procedures, documenting accurately, and consistently modeling professionalism.
  • You work well as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating effectively while also being comfortable operating independently when required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Must meet the criteria for a Behavioral Health Technician; one or more criteria below must be met:
    • Master's degree or bachelor's degree in a field related to behavioral health, or
    • Registered nurse, or
    • Physician assistant who is not working as a medical practitioner, or
    • Bachelor's degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience, or
    • Associate's degree and at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience, or
    • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to behavioral health completed no more than four years before the date the individual begins providing behavioral health services and two years of full-time behavioral health work experience or four years of full­ time behavioral health work experience, or
    • Licensed as a practical nurse, according to A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 15, with at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience.
  • Must have or obtain within 30 days of hire:
    • CPR/First Aid Certification
    • CPI certification
    • AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • current TB test.
  • Possess an Arizona Driver’s license, vehicle insurance and ability to be covered under CPLC’s Policy.

Other Requirements

  • Experience working in a residential setting
  • Knowledge of behavioral health systems and community resources
  • Ability to work with unique populations such as seriously mentally ill, homeless, and/or justice connected men.
  • Demonstrated reliability, diligence and professional integrity in following protocols, making the ethical choice, and interacting with all people without judgment.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with crisis situations
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
